This was the original launch video. It was supposed to be the first episode, but some eps were filmed a while ago and then we got busy and put a pile of footage on the shelf. Suddenly the dreaded virus smashed the world as we know it, so we filmed a new Ep 1. But you probably know all that if you’ve actually watched Ep 1.

Episode 2 in a Video Blog by Bruce & Clare Tweedie, owners of Music Mill in Australia. We find and facilitate songs for advertising campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe, and have been operating for over twenty years.

Please contact us if you need help with music searches or licensing songs for advertising campaigns, or just want to chat about music and advertising. We would love to hear from you! About anything really.

See below for the full transcript:

Bruce:
G’day I’m Bruce from Music Mill.

Clare:
And I’m Clare. We are married and we are partners in a music supervision company.

Bruce:
Business partners. It’s good. Let’s do a music licensing video blog. What do you think? Should we do that?

Clare:
Why?

Bruce:
Well, I can think of a few reasons. The first one is that my son Sheldon, your stepson.

Clare:
Yeah.

Bruce:
As you know, he does a video blog on his dream of becoming a professional footballer and he gets 250,000 views a month. So I figure anything he can do, we can do better. Why not?

Clare:
We’re not doing it daily.

Bruce:
Not doing it daily like him.

Clare:
No.

Bruce:
Fair enough. Of course, another reason is to raise awareness of our music supervision brand. That’s why people do video blogs, marketing, as they say.

Clare:
Right.

Bruce:
And we’d be giving back. We have music licensing insights. I’ve been in this music supervision business for 20 years. You’ve been in it for one long year.

Clare:
Yes. One long year.

Bruce:
One long year. And we’ve learned lots about music licensing, super music searches. There’s lots of insights we could share with people. That’d be good. But the real reason I want to do it is because I’m passionate about music supervision. I’ve got a psychology degree and I worked in, not in advertising, but running advertising and marketing campaigns. So I really enjoy that side of it. I’m really interested in it. And I’m passionate about music. I just love music.

Clare:
Yes. Well there we certainly agree. We both really love music supervision. All kinds of music. So that part of the job’s easy.

Bruce:
And I like talking about music licensing. It’s good to talk about it-

Clare:
You certainly-

Bruce:
I do.

Clare:
You do. You do.

Bruce:
So let’s talk about music licensing. What do you think?

Clare:
Why not?

Bruce:
Why not, indeed. We’ll give it a go. Who knows how long we’ll last. Okay. If you like it, share it. We need to do that again. We need…

Clare:
If you like it, share it.

Bruce:
See you later. Okay. That’ll do.

Clare:
It’s going to need a lot of work.

Bruce:
It’ll be less work than she thinks.
