Music Mill has been around for quite a while – we started in 1999 (last century!), initially just doing music licences for big songs featured in TV commercials. Over the years we have grown to cover the whole range of music requirements for advertising, marketing campaigns, film and TV series.
Music Creative & Licensing Manager
Donna started in the A&R Department at Festival Mushroom Records fresh out of high school, where she worked with up and coming Aussie bands before eventually heading up the Licensing Departments at labels such as Universal, EMI and Ministry of Sound. Since 2005 she has been our licensing expert, finding songs to fit brief and budget, researching copyright ownership and singled-mindedly negotiating the best possible deals for our clients.
Licensing Administration Manager
Prior to joining Music Mill, Nicole worked in the music industry for a combined total of 18 years. During this time, she had a number of different roles culminating in running the Licensing Departments for both Sony Music and Universal Music and being responsible for pitching, negotiating and licensing sound recordings for use via advertising, film, television, corporate, charities and everything in between.
For many years Bruce was a full-on corporate warrior, working for companies like Accenture as an IT Project Director, and Optus as a senior executive in electronic commerce. His passion has always been sales and marketing, and he is a lifelong student of what works in the real world. These days his focus is on the amazing variety of ways that music can be used in marketing.
Assistant Music Supervisor – Film and TV
Jill joins us from the production side of town. Having worked in Film & TV for the past 7 years, she has a vast knowledge of the business and has compiled many a mixtape for Producers and Directors alike. With her daily trawl through music blogs, street press and soundcloud she has an ear for good music and a passion for it too.
